What Services and Advantages Does Well Woman Health Care Associated,
Inc. Provide?
We provide:
- Prenatal (antenatal), delivery, and postpartum care for six weeks after
delivery (our "Womb to Cradle Care ®").
- Postpartum and follow-up well baby examinations to infant age of six weeks
(examination by a pediatrition also recommended).
- Routine laboratory work. Sonograms and non-routine
laboratory tests can be obtained for an additional fee.
- Counseling on nutrition, exercise and healthy life style. Midwives believe
prevention is better and easier than cure.
- Reproductive health care services - pregnancy tests, PAP smears, cervical caps, cervical cap fitting, information on natural birth control and family planning.
- Extensive experience helping moms desiring a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarian
Section) birth.
VBAC support is not limited to delivery. It includes referral to physicians
supportive of VBAC birth, referrals to VBAC support groups, recommended reading,
and may include labor support as doula or montrice, if you opt for a hospital
birth rather than a home or birth center birth.
- Extensive experience with underwater (water) births. Gail teaches underwater
birth workshops at midwifery conferences.
- A support network of independent childbirth instructors (Bradley is our
primary choice), lactation consultants (breastfeeding support, individual
counseling, pump sales and rentals, etc.), masage therapists, parenting instructors,
postpartum support services, and support groups for special situations such
as parenting twins, children with disabilities, miscarraige, or loss of a
child.
- Hospital labor support (doula or montrice), if your physician and hospital are supportive of this option.
- Payment plans.
- Assistance in determining if your insurer will pay for home birth or birth
center births.
- A free, initial, get-acquainterd visit.
