Gail's Homebirth and Midwifery Website is about her practice as a midwife in Hurst, Texas (DFW area) and about services and issues related to pregnancy and natural childbirth.
As of October 6, 1999 this Web Site has been mainly revised using Dreamweaver. Frames have been added to much of ths site to improve navigation. A links page has been added with dozens of midwifery-related links. Personal biography of the webmaster has been added. Additions will continue to occur, hopefully on a more frequent basis.
As of February 25, 1999, this entire Web Site is new. All pages on this Web Site have been created since that date. Content will be added on a continual basis. Yet, we do not consider this site to be "under construction," since we interpret that to mean that the content is under construction. The content has been in existence for many years and has been part of Gail's practice. It is the vehicle (this Web Site) that is new.
We hope you enjoy the materials presented on this site and that you find them useful, informative, and thought-provoking. It is our belief that there is more than one way to birth in this country and that the public is not currently receiving widespread, unbiased information about options other than the standard, medical, physician-attended hospital birth.
The information on this Web Site is an attempt to inform the public of alternative options for birthing.
